Integration

Making separate systems behave as one, through APIs and data contracts.

IN THE STACK

Engineering

The product itself, and everything it talks to.

01 / What it is

Make separate systems behave as one.

Most businesses do not have a software problem so much as a joinery problem: the tools are fine individually and do not agree with each other.

Integration work is defining what each side means by the same word, deciding who owns which field, and building the layer between them so a failure on one side does not corrupt the other.

HOW IT FITS TOGETHER

Integration layer

  1. Contract

What each side promises the other.

  2. Mapping

    Translation between two different models.

  3. Delivery

Queues and retries when a system is down.

  4. Reconciliation

    What happens when they disagree.

02 / What we build

The work this usually involves.

  1. 01API integrations between internal and third-party systems
  2. 02Data synchronisation with a defined system of record
  3. 03Translation layers between mismatched models
  4. 04Webhook and event plumbing with retries
  5. 05Reconciliation for when two systems disagree
03 / Where it applies

Situations this is built for.

Illustrative situations, not client engagements. Outcomes are described in words because no measured figures exist to quote.

01
PROBLEM

The same customer exists three times with three different spellings.

APPROACH

One system of record, with matching and reconciliation around it.

INTENDED OUTCOME

Teams stop arguing about which screen is correct.

02
PROBLEM

A vendor's API goes down and takes a workflow with it.

APPROACH

Queued delivery with retries and a visible dead-letter path.

INTENDED OUTCOME

An outage delays the work instead of losing it.

03
PROBLEM

Two tools model the same process with incompatible fields.

APPROACH

An explicit contract between them, versioned like code.

INTENDED OUTCOME

Changes on one side stop silently breaking the other.

04 / How we work

The same five steps, whatever is being built.

  1. 01

    Discover

Understand the process as it runs today, including the parts people work around without mentioning.

  2. 02

    Design

Decide what the system should do, what it should not, and where the boundaries between the two sit.

  3. 03

    Engineer

Build it in pieces that can be reviewed, tested and changed later by somebody else.

  4. 04

    Integrate

Connect it to the systems already in use, and to the people whose work it changes.

  5. 05

    Deploy

Put it into production with a way back, then stay with it while the real requirements surface.

Why ELEVZE

How this work is approached.

  1. Ideas become systems

An idea is only elevated once it exists as something that runs, holds data and survives contact with real use. That translation is the work.

  2. Impact is the deliverable

Engineering impact means the thing shipped has to change how a business operates. A finished feature that changes nothing is not finished.

  3. Intelligence where it earns its place

AI and agents are applied where they remove real work, not because a category is fashionable. The rest of the system still has to be well built.

  4. Built to be operated

Software is used far longer than it is built. Deployment, security, scale and support are treated as part of the design, not steps after it.

INTEGRATION

Have something that needs this?

The quickest way to find out whether it is the right fit is to describe the problem. No form to fill in first.
